Medical Clinic & Camp

The Shri Ramnath Devasthan Charities Trust was the vision and creation of our visionary senior Mahajans. They started this trust with a nucleus of Rs. 3,000/-

The Mahajans in their large heartedness felt that the poor and down trodden, the sick, the suffering widows and the poor who were unable to do routine rituals such as thread ceremony (Munj) needed to be helped. They also decided to help the wards of some unfortunate amongst us towards their education and health. Indeed with this noble idea in mind the subsequent trustees and committees achieved a lot with the support and encouragement from our benevolent Mahajans / Kulavis.

From 1986 the RDC has started the charitable medical clinic which gives free consultation and medicines to the poor and needy every working day from 10am to 1pm. Presently Dr. Sonali Naik conducts the OPD. There is an attendance of about 15-20 patients every day.

The RDC has also conducted Medical Camps at Ramnathi. The last camp held in May 2023 was a mega camp in which about 20 consultants from various disciplines like Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Skin, Opthalmology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, ENT and Dentistry participated. Bone density testing to look for osteoporosis and foot mapping to detect peripheral neuritis was also performed. Fasting sugar, post prandial sugar, and random sugar  testing  facility was also provided for needy patients. Over 200 patients were benefited. Medicine worth thousands of rupees was given free of cost with a tie up with pharma distributors.

Medicines are proposed to be given to attending patients free of cost. While the attending Specialists / Consultants also bring free samples along with them to be distributed to needy patients as all the medicines prescribed by Specialist / Consultants are not available with pharma distributors and as a result medicines are to be procured by patients from open market.

Though it is the endeavour of Shri Ramnath Devasthan Charities to provide free consultation / medicines to needy patients, the desired cannot be achieved as some of the medicines are not available on the spot which can be distributed to patients attending medical camp.

In view of above, this sincere and earnest appeal is made to you to supplement your donation by such amounts as you may feel proper so that the interest earned there could be utilized to offer better medical help to more and more needy patients.

We pray to lord Shri Ramnath to shower his choicest blessing on you and your family.
