PRESENT INFRASTRUCTURE

NAGARKHANA

The Nagarkhana of Shree Ramnath Devasthan is unique in all respects. The plan of the Nagarkhana building was drawn by a retired Portuguese Government Architect Late Shri. Uppi Babli Kamat of Paroda-Goa. There is a marble plaque on the wall facing the Mahadwar indicating the date of inauguration. The unique feature of this plaque is that there is an image of Bharatmata holding Tricolor in her hand and surprisingly it was not objected to by the Portuguese regime. As we enter the Devasthan through the Mahadwar and walk the broad passage along the Talli, we climb the stairs to reach the Nagarkhana, which then leads us on the right to the Precincts of the Devasthan. As we stand below the Nagarkhana, we can see the well illuminated Garbhagruha of Shree Ramnath and automatically our hands fold together at the Lotus Feet of Shree Ramnath to receive the Divine Blessings. The Nagarkhana was offered as Seva by a Kullavi of the Devasthan, Barrister Late Shri. Parashurama Gopalrao Massurekar, from Rajkot, in memory of his son Late Anantrao Massurekar, (D.O.B. 3-12-1907; D.O.D. 11-07-1928) on Vaishakha Shuddha Tritiya Shake 1856, on 16-05-1934. Artist : Shri. Rada V. Shenvi Juwarker.

SABHA MANDAP
With the Divine Grace, more and more Mahajans and Kullavis of Shree Ramnath Panchishtha were attracted towards the Devasthan to celebrate various rituals and utsavas of the Devasthan. There was an urgent need to construct a Proper Sabhamantap to replace the makeshift perennial structure of Coconut leaves and wooden pillars. With a favourable Kaul, Late Shri. Anant Vishwanath Keni (Baba Keni) who along with his brothers were blessed with the construction work of the Sabhamantap and after completion with Divine Blessings they successfully handed over the structure to the Devasthan within a year. The foundation stone of this maiden Sabhamantap was laid at the Holy Hands of H. H. Srimad Dwarkanath Teertha Sripad Wader Swami Maharaj in Vikrutinaam Samvatsar, Vaishakh Shudha Tritiya, Shake 1872, on Thursday, 20-04-1950 (Krutika Nakshatra). In Kharnaam Samvatsar, Vaishakh Shudha Tritiya, Shake 1873, on Wednesday, 09-05-1951 (Mrugha Nakshatra), the Sabhamantap was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of H. H. Dwarkanath Teertha Sripad Wader Swami Maharaj in the presence of large number of Mahajans, Kullavis and their families. The Sabhamantap is designed in such a way as to allow a stage to be erected to present Dramas during Mahashivaratri Utsav. Just facing the stage, on top of the main entrance door of the Temple, there is a gallery (Sajja) where the Deities sit to bless the artists participating in the celebrations presented on the stage. On both sides of the hallway of the Sabhamantap, cement benches are constructed for the convenience of the attending devotees. The spacious Sabhamantap allows Dramas, Lalit Karyakramas, Kumkumarchan, Poojas, small meetings etc. to be organized conveniently in a well ventilated natural ambience.
NEW BUILDINGS

With the growing numbers of devotees visiting the Devasthan, a need was felt to replace the existing agrashalas with more spacious premises that could serve the twin purpose of providing overnight stay to the devotees as well as halls to organize religious functions such as weddings, thread ceremonies etc. With the Divine Grace of Shree Ramnath Panchishtha and Guidance from the Guruswami, the project was undertaken in phases. In the first phase, Agrashalas donated by families of Juvarkar and Mallaye were replaced with a basement plus ground floor building, somewhere in the year 1967. On the ground floor a spacious hall, the “RAMNATH HALL” which was donated by late Shri. Ramdas Nayak and in the basement, at parking level, rooms for sevekaris were built. In the second phase, first floor having 14 rooms with attached bath/toilets were constructed and on the top floor, another hall the “BETAL HALL” was constructed which was donated by Late Shri. Manjunath Vithoba (Kalbagkar) Shanbhag from Mumbai. The Ramnath Hall is renovated in Tarannaam Samvatsar on Ashwin Shuddha Dashami, Shake 1926, Saturday, 23-10-2004 at the hands of H. H. Srimad Vidyadhiraj Teerth Swami Maharaj. An appeal to raise funds to aid in the constructions of this entire project was circulated amongst the mahajans and kullavis all over the country and encouraging assistance was sought so that the project would be commissioned on time and inaugurated ceremoniously in the year 1968. In 1968, Phase III was undertaken which comprised of reconstructing the temples of Shree Betal & Shree Kalbhairav. The project was designed in such a way as to build a store room for various Wahanas used by the Deities, a Yadnya Mantap, a Spacious Mandir for Shree Betal & Shree Kalbhairav and agrashala with several rooms & halls etc. The old temples of Shree Betal & Shree Kalbhairav and the agrashala donated by family of Ghodekar were demolished and new structures as described above were erected. The agrashala, a ground plus first floor structure, has several rooms with attached bath/toilet facilities, “SHREE KAMAXI HALL” on the ground floor with central hall and three rooms, which is renovated in Vyayanaam Samvatsar, on Kartik Shuddha Pratipada, Shake 1928, Monday, 23-10-2006 by H. H. Srimad Vidyadhiraj Teertha Swami Maharaj; exactly on top of this hall “SHREE SHANTERI HALL” having a central hall with five rooms all around is renovated in Parthivnaam Samvatsar, on Ashadh Vadhya Dwitiya, Shake 1927, on Sunday, 24-07-2005 by H. H. Srimad Vidyadhiraj Teerth Swami Maharaj. This project was also completed with the donations from benevolent Mahajans & Kullavis of Shree Ramnath Devasthan.

SHREE BETAL AND KALBHAIRAV MANDIR
The Construction work of this Mandir was completed in 1972 and the idols of Shree Betal and Shree Kalbhairav were installed on Jestha Dwitiya shake 1894 i.e. in July 1972 in the Holy presence of H.H. Shrimad Dwarkanath Teertha Swami Maharaj. Late Shri Shantaram Ranga Nayak had resolved to build this temple but he expired when the construction work was going on. But his sons paid the cost of building the Mandir. The cost of the new idol of Shree Kalabhairav which is installed in the new temple was doanted by Shri Atchut R. Shenvi Talauliker.
PURVAS OF THE GANAS
The Purvas of the Ganas were located in front of the temple of each Deity in the Prakar in such a way that their presence could be felt from the respective temple and during Kaul Prasad etc, bahuman could be made to the Purvas. For the convenience sake, a need was then felt to bring all Purvas of the Ganas, which were scattered all over the Prakar, under one platform. Thus arrangements were made in such a way as to install all the “PURVAS OF THE GANAS” on an embankment to the right of Shree Betal & Shree Kalbhairav Temple in early 1980’s.
YADNYA MANDAP

An old Yadnya Mantap existed to the left of Shree Shanteri Temple. This was shifted temporarily behind H. H. Swamiji’s Nivas Sthan. As Purushas of some Mahajan families were brought for installation in the Prakar, there was an urgent need to accommodate the Purushas. So a a decision was taken in a General Body Meeting to shift Yadnya Mantap to make a place for the installation of Purushas. A more spacious and elaborate “YADNYA MANTAP” was constructed in the present location and inaugurated at the auspicious hands of H. H. Vidyadhiraj Teerth Swami on Ashwin Shuddha Shashthi, Shake 1902, 15th October 1980.

TALLI
Shree Ramnath Devasthan Talli is very beautiful and spacious. It is situated at the north east corner of the Devasthan premises, by the roadside, just next to Mahadwar. Checkered pavers have been laid all around to give the Talli a more defined and exotic look. During Naukavihar (Sangod) festivities, the entire area is well illuminated to give a real festive ambience. The Talli is full of holy water throughout the year.
VIDYADHIRAJ HALL
The first floor of the Agrashala behind the Temple was reconstructed and converted into a modern and beautiful hall. It was named as the “VIDYADHIRAJ HALL” and was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of H. H. Vidyadhiraj Teerth Swami on Kartik Shuddha Navami, Shake 1915, 22-11-1993. PURUSHALAYA

IIn the Prakar of Devasthan, in front of Shree Kamaxi Mandir, there was a small mandir of Nayak Kulpurush. There is mention in the annals of Partagalli Math that the Jeernodhar of this Purusha Mandir was done at the hands of H. H. Purnapradnyateerth Swamiji. There were some more Ghumatis of other Purushas in the Prakar and still more Kullavi families expressed their desire to install Kulpurushas in the Devasthan if a proper infrastructure to house them is given. So a Purushalaya was built adjacent to Old Office Building for Malaye, Chittal, Mahale, Nayak, Pai, Shenvi Lotliker and Kare families. Later on six more Purushas of Sadekar, Kunkolienkar, Rataboli (common Purush), Nayak (Rivona), Shanbhag, Barad, Kirtani, and Silimkhan were installed in a building where a make-shift Yadnya Mantap was constructed but later on this Yadnya Mantap was shifted to its present place. As per new Master Plan, during the Ist Phase, an elaborate, well planned, Purush Sankul housing 17 Purushalayas of respective families is constructed and commissioned. The new Purush Sankul is inaugurated in Jaynaam Samvatsar, Shake 1987, on Magh Vadhya Dwadashi, Monday, 16-02-2015 at the holy hands of H. H. Srimad Vidyadhiraj Teerth Swami Maharaj.

DEEPASTAMBHA
To the left side of Sabhamantap a five storeyed Deepathambha was built. The refurbishment and electrification work of the Deepasthambha was undertaken in 1975. Beautiful square embankment was built at the base and Images of Sant Ramdas, Sant Namdev, Sant Tukaram, Sant Dyaneshwar, Sadhwi Mirabai, Ramkrishna Paramhans, Vivekanand and Sant Eknath were plastered all around. When lit at night, the pristine look soothes the mind.
NAIVEDYA GHAR
This is a holy place built for the purpose of cooking Naivedya by the Archaks for offering to the Deities. The very purpose to have such a place was necessitated to keep the Naivedyas untouched by any other persons other than the Archaks, who in olden days used to cook and bring the Naivedya from their Homes. On the way to the Temple, there was every likelihood of birds or any persons / devotees accidentally touching the Naivedya thereby rendering unfit for offering the same to the Deities. This place is built next to the Wahana Store building and is quite convenient for Archaks to preserve the sanctity of the Naivedyas.
